Heat treated wood and water…

A good folding door that can last for 50 years is very dependent on dimensional stability.

Lacuna regularly carries out salt water tests to make sure that our door frames in TMT composite (heat treated beech) live up to the Lacuna quality.

The Lacuna door frame on the video and photos is pulled out of the salt water after having been submerged for four months. It has expanded by 0.4 mm and the paint has not cracked. Can’t get it better than that…
